It is well documented that older web domains and web pages usually hold more authority than a new site if that site has been well developed. This aspect of SEO is unhelpful for new websites, but a useful piece of information to know. This does not mean that a site should not attempt to add new pages as search engines love fresh content to support the existing pages.
Although the age of a web page is helpful, this does not mean that the content should not be changed. It is in fact a major SEO plus to frequently up-date your content on a regular basis in order to keep your content up-to-date rather than stale irrelevant information.
