There are several common ways communicating your message across the internet, the three most common being Flash, PDF or HTML.
Although these options will contain all the information you want, not all of these are SEO friendly making it hard for a search engine to place your web site on a search.
Flash sites allow movement which can make the site appear very interesting, however as far as SEO they it is in fact the worse option. Instead of a search engine being able to read the content and keywords within the site, the only aspect of this site it can read is the few words you have named the flash file. Flash sites can still be found at the top of search engines, however this is as a result of being accompanied by an HTML site, or by using small flash files within an HTML.
PDF's can actually be read by the search engine spiders, however this is not a recommended method as the number of SEO techniques are limited to just its content. Plus PDF's have a very amaturish look and feel.
HTML sites are the most common and most superior sites when it comes to applying SEO. Not only are HTML sites easier for search engines to read, but they can also be broken into sections naming each page, image, and link allowing search engines to categorise the sites much easier.
